skincare favorites.

I’ve become a bit crazy about skincare over the past year or so – perhaps you could blame it on the holy shit I’m getting old that tends to creep in as you’re in your mid-twenties, or maybe I’m just making the most of my homebody nature, but I’ve become obsessed with taking care of my skin. From masks to serums to scrubs, I’ve tried countless and wanted to share my current favorites in case you’re looking to add some new additions to your skincare routine:

Skincare Favorites.

Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask: Any time my skin needs a pick me up (especially post-traveling!), I reach for Tata Harper’s Resurfacing Mask – it leaves skin smooth and glowing while also cleansing deep and removing dead skin cells. The hype is real!

Derma-e 2-in-1 Charcoal Mask: This mask has become a weekly routine anytime my skin is feeling oily or I’m battling breakouts – the charcoal and clay clears excess dirt and oil from pores and then when it’s time to rinse, the mask turns into a scrub to buff the surface of your skin and leave you with a super soft and smooth face.

Juice Beauty Green Apple Peel Nightly Brightening Pads: While I love peels and masks, I don’t have time for them on an everyday basis and Juice Beauty has come up with the next best thing: their amazing Green Apple Peel in pad form, perfect for everyday use. I’ve been using the Green Apple Peel pads nightly after cleansing to fight fine lines and wrinkles while leaving my skin smooth and bright.

Drunk Elephant Glycolic Night Serum: I’m always a fan of multitasking products and I love that this serum basically does it all: fights wrinkles, evens skin tone, lifts away dead skin cells and even helps clear up acne. It’s also extremely light-weight and doesn’t leave any sticky residue on your skin; it’s one of my favorite night-time products ever!

Derma-e Soothing Oil Free Moisturizer: A good daytime lotion can be hard to find as I’ve found many of them just it on top of the surface of your skin which make makeup application a mess but this gel moisturizer does just the trick. I like that it’s oil free yet still super hydrating and the gel formula sinks in really quickly without any residue or greasy feeling so you can apply your makeup right away.

OSEA Ocean Cleansing Mudd: I’ve been using this exclusively as my evening cleanser for a few months now and actually look forward to using it every night because of the cooling tingle it gives as you cleanse. I really like this cleanser because it cleans really deep and removes all makeup from the day without being too harsh on skin.

Acure Oil Control Moisturizer: I always switch my moisturizer to this option from Acure when I’m battling breakouts because it’s able to hydrate and soothe without adding any extra oil to the mix. It helps to balance out my skin and  leaves skin feeling almost velvety to fight mid-day shine and excess oil.

Purity of Elements Radiance Serum: This has become a favorite serum for when my skin needs a boost, especially when traveling – it leaves your skin smooth and brighter, which is especially helpful when you haven’t quite gotten enough sleep.

Ayelet Naturals Geranium & Orange Toner: For years I’ve deemed the toner step of a skincare routine unnecessary because my past experience with alcohol-based toners have been drying and overall meh. This toner is gentle on skin, smells great and does an amazing job picking up remaining traces of dirt and oil even after I go through a double cleanse.

Juice Beauty Blemish Clearing Toner Pads: In my experience it can be SO hard to find blemish products that actually work without irritating and drying out your skin! I’ve gotten hooked on Juice Beauty’s Blemish Clearing Pads because they clean deep and fight oil and breakouts, but are also ultra soothing and don’t leave my skin feeling stripped.

Ayelet Naturals Defense Patrol Oil: One little bottle packs a blend of 7 plant-based and essential oils and smells AMAZING. It also sinks deep into skin so you’re able to get the moisturizing benefits of using a facial oil without feeling greasy or having a ton of residue on your pillowcase at night.

Purity of Elements Exfoliating Cleanser: So many scrubs can either be too harsh on my skin or ineffective in actually exfoliating and I love this option from Purity of Elements because it’s gentle enough to use every day yet buffs away dead skin cells to leave my skin feeling ultra soft and smooth.

Kiehl’s Creamy Eye Treatment: After trying a bunch of different eye creams and I’d always run into the same issue: they’d travel into my eyes while I was sleeping and I’d wake up with red, irritated eyes. But not this one! I love how moisturizing and calming it is and yet it never irritates my eyes – it’s become one of my favorite travel companions because a few dabs go a long way and instantly make my under eye area feel refreshed.

Derma-e Hydrating Serum: Another one of my travel favorites – one pump of this hydrating serum leaves skin feeling plump and refreshed (no matter how tired you are!) It sinks in quickly and is ultra hydrating without any oils so you feel instantly fresh faced.
