a year of growth.
Similar to last year, I’m ditching my traditional list of new year’s resolutions and instead setting an intention for the year ahead. It’s a way to sum up my goals and hopes for the year into a simple phrase or word that can act as a guide across all areas of my life. I’ve been thinking hard about what my intention would be for 2015 over the past few weeks and to be honest, I have felt pretty clueless about it. Life has been rushing by lately and I finally feel able to actually focus on what’s ahead rather than being burdened by what needs to be done right now.
I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about what I truly want for 2015 and what I want the outcome of all of the changes that have happened recently to be – after all of the adventure, it’s important to make sure that change manifests into choices that I’m happy with and proud of. And I believe that growth will be what makes that happen.
So for 2015, my focus is growth across all aspects of my life – personally, professionally, in my relationships and in helping other achieve growth as well. I’m hungry to learn more and evolve my way of doing things and even my outlook. I want to make positive changes and set big, crazy goals that inspire and depend on growth. I want explore San Francisco in order for my new city to grow to feel like home. I want to do what I can to leverage my own strengths and knowledge to benefit the growth in others. I want to grow professionally and make the most of living in a tech hub filled with so many smart people and maximize the career opportunities that the Bay Area has to offer. I want to grow my existing relationships and put more effort into them while also growing a new network and new relationships in SF. And finally, I want to grow as a blogger – I want to take Pretty & Fun to the next level by growing the blog’s community and creating higher quality content that I not only enjoy creating, but provides value to readers as well.
Ultimately, I want to look back on 2015 and all of the actions, decisions and events of the year and see an upward trend. I want to be able to firmly and confidently say that I am better than I started the year because of the priority I have placed on my growth.
Do you have an intention set for 2015? What are some of your goals or things that you’re working toward?
