Confession: there’s a reason my go-to makeup routine usually includes a bold lip… it’s because I’m a total rookie when it comes to eye makeup. As hard as I try, I still struggle with the smokey eye and I definitely went through a heavy black eyeliner phase in high school (which thankfully I survived). I just really struggle with it and have basically avoided eye makeup for years because I had no idea what to wear with my everyday look – it was heavy and dark for a night out or nothing at all.
