DIY // sugar hand scrub.
This winter has taken a serious toll on my skin in general but I think the worst of it is on my hands. Between the bitter wind + extra hand washing to try and avoid everyone’s germs, they’re dry to the point of being painful and no matter how much hand lotion I slather on, it doesn’t cut it.
To soothe my sad hands I’ve started using a little DIY hand scrub weekly to smooth my skin and lock in moisture. The best part? It only uses two ingredients, both of which I bet you have in your kitchen right now.
Grab about 1/4 cup of granulated white sugar + mix in enough olive oil to make a paste.
Scrub on hands and rise with warm water – your hands will feel instantly moisturized with any dry, flaky skin removed. Easy, peasy.
Do you have any DIY beauty tricks? Is winter taking a serious toll on your skin too?
