The wait is officially over and Chicago finally has its very own Drybar. The premier blow dry bar opened its doors in Lincoln Park, right by the North and Clyborn red line stop, in December and I’ve been anxiously awaiting my first visit. New Year’s Eve was the perfect occasion for a blowout and after just an hour (a very relaxing one thanks to a 10 minute scalp massage, a glass of champagne and Mean Girls playing on the television), I left with some pretty fabulous hair without any of the hassle of attempting to do it myself. The result? Bouncy, smooth curls with just enough volume that held all night. The verdict? I’m hooked.
