summer beauty.
Summertime always shakes up my beauty routine a bit. Less makeup, more sunscreen and a general emphasis on a natural, fresh faced look (no one wants to be “that girl” with her face full of makeup melting off). Here are some new additions to my lineup for simple summer beauty:
// clockwise:
MAC Powder Blush in “Harmony”: A great matte bronzer that blends well for a natural look (no shimmer or sparkles!!)
Simple Skincare Radiance Cleansing Wipes: Great for keeping your face clean when the weather is hot & steamy. These are gentle enough for the most sensitive skin but work even on waterproof mascara.
bareMinerals Touch Up Veil: A perfect solution to shiny spots without the cakey look of many pressed powders. The translucent shade is great for touch ups on the go.
Bobbi Brown Foundation Stick: A multi-purpose item that works well as both a concealer and foundation. Easy to blend with long-lasting coverage that evens skin tone and hides blemishes.
Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream: Sheer & lightweight with just the right amount of color correction. I’ve tried many BB creams and always end up back with this one – it’s just the right “I’m not wearing any makeup makeup”
Benefit Watt’s Up: A highlighter stick that adds a sexy dewy glow and blends well. I use it under the arch of my eyebrow, on my cheekbones and along my collarbones for a little extra oomph.
c/o Icing Retractable Kabuki Brush: An affordable, high-quality brush that can handle all of your makeup needs. The compact, retractable packaging has me throwing this in my makeup bag to cover foundation, blush & powder touch ups.
c/o Supergoop! Mint Lip Balm: Don’t forget your lips when it comes to SPF! I love how this balm sinks in with a bit of a minty tingle (similar to my ultimate favorite, Burts Bees)
c/o Coola Mineral Facial Sunscreen: Sheer, oil-free sunscreen that has the protection you need without feeling greasy or making you smell like you’re a kid again & your mom just slathered you up. The bottle is also just the right size to stash in your bag – no excuses for sunburn!
