new beginnings.

Robins are said to be the first birds that return in the spring – they’re a sign of the start of growth and of new beginnings.  These little birds give us a sign that we’ve made it through the winter and that great things are to come.  I’ve been particularly drawn to robins for a few years now and have found reassurance in the hope that they stand for – I always get excited and inspired when I spot the first robin of the season.

There are lots of new beginnings happening around here, and honestly, it’s a bit overwhelming.  I’m starting a new job.  Moving to a new apartment.  Living in a city for the first time.  Training for my first half marathon.  It’s all incredibly exciting and I couldn’t be happier, but life feels like it’s moving faster than ever.  So here’s to new beginnings and all that they offer us.  To staying focused and looking ahead, having complete trust in the choices we’ve made and the paths we’ve chosen.
