Celebrating a Small Victory with Häagen-Dazs.

Try Celebrating a Small Victory.

Celebrating a Small Victory with Häagen-Dazs. I was asked to participate in the #HDMoment campaign, sponsored by Haagen-Dazs at Walgreens.  Although I have been compensated, all opinions are my own.

I’m the type of person who always has goals on her mind – from big long-term plans to the smaller steps that need to take place to make them happen, I tend to always be thinking about what’s next. As great as the rush of accomplishment can feel, I’m usually too busy moving onto the next thing to stop and soak it up. Anyone else get like this?

Lately I’ve been making more of an effort to slow it down for a second and stop to think about all that I have accomplished already instead of just being so focused on what else there is to do. A little reflection and gratitude goes a long way! I’ve also been working on setting aside time to celebrate the small victories that happen nearly every day. Whether it’s hustling through a very ambitious to do list or putting yourself out there in the dating world, these little accomplishments should be recognized.

One of my favorite ways to celebrate the small victories has been to just give myself a break. I’m always on the go so nothing feels better than taking some time to relax and really be present in the moment instead of worrying about what I need to do next. Sometimes it’s a trip to the park with Callie, otherwise it’s a little treat yourself moment with some Häagen-DazsⓇ Ice Cream… you guys know how much I love my ice cream (and if you’re also an ice cream lover… Häagen-Dazs is buy one, get one free at Walgreens from July 2-8) These little celebrations don’t have to be long or extravagant, but just taking the time for yourself is priceless. Clearly the folks over at Häagen-Dazs didn’t quite get this memo about taking a break though because they’ve been pursuing their passion for creating the world’s best ice cream for over 56 years!

Next time you’re feeling a bit overwhelmed, stop for a second and think about something awesome that you did recently, then set a timer for 10 minutes on your phone. Just 10 minutes! I swear, 10 minutes is doable even within the busiest of days and you should use that little break to do something you truly enjoy. Something that’s outside of the to do list. Something that’s not work. Just give yourself a little break and reward yourself for that hustle. You deserve it! The best thing about rewarding myself with the flavors of Häagen-Dazs  are that I can pick them up conveniently at my local Walgreens to save for my 10 minutes of relaxation and escape!

What are some ways that you celebrate the small victories in your life?

  • Small rewards for small victories are so important! They totally keep me motivated and make me want to work hard to finish bigger tasks. Ice cream from walgreens is so easy because you don’t have to walk through an entire, huge grocery store, and haagan-dazs is absolutely my guilty pleasure. I love their $1 little tiny cartons too. Great post!

    • I just discovered those tiny cartons and they are A. adorable and B. the best idea ever! I’ve been grabbing one during the workday as a little afternoon treat ;)

  • Ice cream sounds SO good right now! I’m up in the Poconos right now and there are so many ice cream places around, I’ve been craving it non-stop since we got up here!

I love this! I am a big supporter of celebrating small wins. A little reward here and there is sometimes what you need to keep motivated.

    • I agree, 100% Marie!

  • Love their ice cream – so, so good! Love your gallery wall, too! I’m all about tiny wins.

  • SMALL WINS FTW. I try not to take breaks because once I do, it takes me HOURS to get back to work. So I work until I finish the task then relax. Lying on the couch eating a snickers is one of my favorite ways to take a break :)

    • Sounds ideal, Justine!

  • First of all… that ice-cream is so yummy!! And secondly, I just tell myself how awesome I am. Something I really have to do is celebrate small victories. It helps me to go through hard days.

Have you ever tried the Hagaan Daz pineapple flavor? If not, i promise you it will change your life. Be careful though, when i discovered it, I had to avoid the grocery store because I literally would eat the entire carton in 1 sitting and wonder why I was gaining weight….oops. We could also use a lot more stopping to soak it all in!I am totally like you in always working towards the next “thing…” *thegoodthingscomin.wordpress.com
