On Our Radar.
Happy Saturday and happy May! Can you believe we’re already in the fifth month of 2017?! This past Christmas, a friend gave me a desk calendar that features an inspirational word for every day of the month. On May 1, the calendar read “cherish.” This month, I’ll be moving to a new apartment and then transitioning out of one role and into another as I begin my third summer in D.C. I am beyond excited to stay in the city for the summer, but I love the idea of cherishing all the opportunities and moments that are about to come my way this month. It’s going to be another hectic one, but there is plenty of fun in store, too. So with that, here’s what’s been on our radar lately:
- Obsessed with every single look from the Met Gala
- A friend just gave me this book and I already can’t put it down
- I recently got this dress from Old Navy and I know it’s going to be on repeat all summer (plus it’s on sale right now!)
- The very best (mental) style guide for transitioning from spring to summer
- Shout out to everyone with a successful side hustle
- Chelsea’s short list of healthy food to always have on-hand is so helpful
- As it turns out, minimalism may not be as powerful as promised
- This stripes + bows combination is everything I need in a summer top
- And while we’re talking about summer shopping, I also love this skirt
- This 30 day challenge would be so tough for me, but maybe a good change for summer
- Day dreaming about traveling after reading Julia’s post
- If you haven’t signed up for The Skimm yet, you need to do it ASAP! It’s the best way to get a quick, witty take on the news delivered straight to your inbox every morning
- How to decompress the neck and lengthen the back using a foam roller (perfect for those of us who sit at a desk all day!)
- An important read on learning how to be alone
- BRB, adding every book on Victoria’s reading list to my own!
- Ever wondered what it’s like to work in PR? Meghan wrote the best PR career Q&A
And here’s what happened on the blog this week:
