new habits.
The new year is always about new beginnings. A clean slate, a fresh start. We find ourselves making long lists of resolutions; combinations of things we need to stop doing and things we need to start doing. This can seem like quite the daunting task and we often get discouraged and lose faith in ourselves after making a few mistakes – we spread ourselves too thin and expect to just become this new and improved version of our self when a new calendar year comes along.
This year I’m all about new beginnings and new habits, but I’m taking a new approach to things. Instead of trying to accomplish every single item at once, I’m focusing on one thing at a time. I love this TED talk by Matt Cutts and the idea of training yourself to accomplish a goal in 30 days. I’ve already began thinking of how I can break up my list of goals (101 in 1,001 anyone?) into “habits” that can be created over 30 days.
What will yo be accomplishing over the next 30 days?
