Swingy Striped Dress.
Confession: I’m the blogger who actually hates shopping. The thought of spending time in a store combing through items to try and find the right pieces in my size makes my skin itch, and the whole dressing room situation? No thank you (why do they always seem to have the most unflattering light in there?!).
Online shopping has always been more of my style but comes with its own slew of issues since sizing can be all over the place and it can be hard to tell quality and see details from online images. Typically, when I need to get my shop on, I go through this huge process of ordering TONS of items online and then do a mass try on at home, keeping what I love and shipping back the rest. These chaotic “shopping” moments tend to be fast and furious as I go from one item to the next, making yes or no decisions in a split second.
But this dress? It stopped me in my tracks. The pattern is such a fun play on stripes (which as you know, I already have plenty of in my wardrobe), and the silhouette just makes you want to dance a little. Club Monaco has been killing it lately for me and I love how this striped dress can easily go from day to night with just a swap of your shoes and has an old Hollywood glamour feel to it with the mid-length cut and defined waistline. It was basically meant to be paired with red lipstick and taken out for a night on the town and that’s just fine by me.
Do you have a dress in your closet that just makes you feel good when you put it on?
