The weather has been so amazing in San Francisco lately with warm temperatures and sunshine a plenty. It’s been finally warm enough for bare legs and sandals which has been so appreciated after a winter of rain and grey days. It really feels like spring around here which has put a little pep in my step (even after two years here I still think it’s so strange to have the same weather year round!) and has me trying to wear all of my warm weather clothes before the chill of summer creeps in. For anyone who has never experienced a San Francisco summer for themselves, summer tends to be some of the chilliest months in the city with lots of fog and then we’ll get an Indian summer heatwave in the fall when the weather is cooling down everywhere else.
In honor of the sunshine I grabbed this sunny yellow lace skirt from LOFT – yellow seems to be everywhere right now (I think we can partially blame Beauty & The Beast!) making it the perfect color for sunny days. I love how the rich mustard tone looks good on everyone; it;’s one of the few shades that works regardless of skin tone or hair color. Striped tees are always a staple in my wardrobe because they can easily be dressed up or down and this option from J. Crew Factory with the cute strawberry detail is as springy and cheery as it gets. And you may have noticed these Steve Madden ballet pumps making a few appearances around here recently – they’re super comfortable and versatile since they work well with both pants and skirts/dresses (and they’re on sale right now!)
Have you moved into wearing your spring wardrobe yet? Anyone else add some sunny yellow to your closet recently?
