Florals & Blush.
Between the heatwave we’ve been having and the extra hours of daylight thanks to Daylight Savings, I’ve suddenly launched into thinking spring. The sun is shining, the birds are chirping and I’m finally reaching for something other than a sweater and a pair of boots in my closet. It’s a beautiful thing.
This gorgeous embroidered floral dress from Club Monaco basically whispered to me and seduced me into the store a few weeks ago – the details are just oh so pretty and it’s my favorite fit when it comes to dresses: flattering but not skintight (you won’t see very many bodycon dresses around here…. girlfriend likes her pizza). Navy has also been making a big comeback in my closet as a more warm weather friendly alternative to black and the long sleeves on this dress make it the perfect pretty little thing for a spring night out or wedding.
And let’s talk about the shoes, shall we? I actually debuted them at the office yesterday and three of my co-wokers hopped online and snagged ’em for themselves immediately. They’re that good. I’ve been hesitant to incorporate much blush into my wardrobe given that well, it’s basically the color of my skintone… but these suede flats with just enough of a block heel are the perfect way to rock the trend. They look just as cute with jeans and are comfortable enough for a city gal to get away without stashing another pair of shoes in her bag for the walk home after work.
