Navy is an underrated neutral in my closet – it often gets overlooked for its slightly cooler cousin, black. I’m always quick to shop for a new little black dress but when I spotted this navy double layered mini dress from ASOS, I did a doube-take and instantly added it to my shopping cart.

While black can often feel formal and serious, I love how navy can work for both day to night and is so easy to wear. The lace trim and layered detailing on this dress (under $100!) makes it easy to style with a pair of simple nude pumps and a metallic bag. With my signature red lip and a bit of bling, I was ready to grab drinks with my girlfriends to celebrate a friend’s birthday and the swingy silhouette was perfect for dancing all night.
