Banana Spinach Protein Smoothie.
Confession: I’m a serious slacker when it comes to breakfast. I know it’s the most important meal of the day, especially since I do mostly morning workouts but at some point over the past few years I started ditching breakfast and instead only having coffee. Not cool.
In an effort to start eating breakfast I also found myself with a terrible $10 smoothie habit… Also not cool. Instead of grabbing a smoothie on my walk to work I’ve been making an effort to whip up my own smoothies at home – they’re just so easy! I’ve gotten hooked on a simple green smoothie that’s packed with a ton of vitamins and minerals, plus a hefty punch of protein to keep you feeling full. The details:
Ingredients:
- 2 cups of fresh spinach
- 1 cup of unsweetened almond milk
- 1 banana
- 2 tablespoons of almond butter
- 1 scoop of ALOHA Vanilla Bean protein powder
- Ice
Instructions:
- Add banana, almond milk, almond butter and ALOHA protein powder to blender and top with 1 cup of spinach
- Blend until ingredients have combined + add remaining spinach and a handful of ice cubes
And that’s it! Super quick and simple (which means I have zero excuse for not eating breakfast anymore) – it’s healthy and just a little bit sweet and best of all… actually fills you up! I never expected to be someone who used protein powder but after finding out about ALOHA, I’ve been adding a scoop to smoothies and am hooked on the difference it makes. ALOHA recently launched in Target and is a 100% plant-based protein that’s free of GMOs and anything artificial. Amazing, right?
