we’re headed to japan!
Japan is a place I’ve placed on my travel bucket list – I’m fascinated by how different Asia seems to be from everyday life here in the states and the tech nerd in me is amazed by how far ahead they are. Recently I happened to be innocently browsing Google Flights one day and stumbled upon some adorable flights to Japan – we weren’t necessarily planning a trip but it was one of those why not situations so we’re heading to Tokyo and Kyoto in the beginning of September.
As someone who didn’t have the opportunity to travel internationally until recently I’m dying to make up for lost time and find myself dreaming of new places and experiences instead of things. We’re so excited for Japan and would love any recommendations you have. Has anyone else been there? Tokyo has been described as NYC on steroids and I’m pretty excited about the politeness of Japanese culture and the fact that I fully plan on eating my weight in sushi and ramen. We also have a quick layover in South Korea on our way home where I’ll be filling my suitcase full of Korean beauty products. Anyone have any favorites?
Any advice on navigating the craziness of Tokyo or traveling somewhere where you speak zero of the language would be amazing! Anyone else have any big adventures planned? Or impulsive flights booked?
