A Weekend in Paris.

A Weekend in Paris

While we really enjoyed our time in London, Paris was really something else. Everything felt so different and it was all so absolutely beautiful. Our weekend in Paris pushed me outside of my comfort zone (um, I speak ZERO French!) and left me feeling hungry to travel even more to see and experience as many new places and cultures as possible.

Similarly to our time spent in London, we spent the majority of our weekend walking around the city and exploring – we took in many of the sights but never had a real agenda or set itinerary, which was such a welcome change of pace from my over-planned daily routine at home. I cannot say enough wonderful things about our Paris AirBnB – the studio was gorgeous with a lofted bed area, a huge window and amazing hardwood floors (and it was incredibly affordable!) – highly recommended for anyone planning a trip!

The colors and the architecture of Paris were my absolute favorite things about the city – the buildings were all the most perfect neutral shades and just had a certain glow about them. Although the majority of our weekend was cloudy and gray, the city of light still shined with its magic and romantic-vibes.

Being at the Eiffel Tower at sunset is something I’ll always remember – it was one of the most hyped up details of our trip and it did not disappoint one bit! We watched a gorgeous pink sunset (while I ate an ice cream cone #vacationdiet) and then were right under the tower when its sparkly lights turned on and it was incredible.

Overall our trip to Paris was a great one and I look forward to returning one day during warmer weather to spend even more time wandering around and eating my way through the beautiful city. If you’re planning a trip to Paris I highly recommend hitting all of the sights but also just spending a bunch of time without any real plans – the city is full of magic and every. single. street. is lovely. Wandering is where we really got a feel for what it would be like to be a local in the city and loved accidentally stumbling upon outdoor markets, wine & cheese shops and boutiques.
