Thoughts on Rompers?
I’ll admit that I have mixed feelings on rompers. They make getting dressed super easy since you don’t have to worry about the whole top and bottom pairing thing, and also tend to feel more polished than wearing shorts typically does. But I also totally feel like a little kid every. single. time. and they can also be notoriously hard to find the right fit since sizing can be weird with both the top and the bottom involved.
But regardless of these mixed feelings, I remain optimistic and keep finding myself ordering new romper options online to try – it’s like kissing frogs to find your prince, right? (And on the frog note… expect a dating update soon 😉) At long last I found a true gem of a romper from LOFT that’s the perfect alternative for a dress and works well for both day and night, depending on your accessories.
The floral pattern couldn’t be more summery and I love the romantic detail of the fluttery sleeves and keyhole in the back for just a peek of skin. The drawstring waist adds some shape to your waistline and the shorts are a really flattering length that can work for even the most anti-shorts people. Patterns tend to do all of the work for you so I kept the look simple with a low block heel and anticipate wearing this to summer BBQs and packing it along for upcoming travels for nights out. And best of all? The romper is under $70 AND an extra 40% off right now which makes it a no brainer for your summer wardrobe.
Are you a fan of rompers or do you avoid ’em?
